Life Coach Says

Popularity or Pleasing God?

Popularity can be deceiving. Just because people are following you, does not equate God’s agreement with how you are leading or where you are going. As leaders, we must be careful not to look so intently to man for approval. This can be a snare. Make sure you are listening to God’s Word, measuring EVERYTHING by it and following Him as you lead others. There can be no compromise in this area. Many great leaders have fallen out of favor with God because of pride and needing the applause of men.

Luke 9:25(NKJV)

25 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost?

Luke 6:26New King James Version (NKJV)

26 Woe to you[a] when all[b] men speak well of you,
For so did their fathers to the false prophets.

1 Samuel 16:7New King James Version (NKJV)

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees;[a] for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
